Aggregion is the owner of the platform with the same name, which is a set of tools for licensing digital content,access managing to it, protecting copyright. In addition, the solution enables partners to distribute the content of copyright holders, combining it with any goods or services on online and offline sites. The structure of Aggregion includes three territorially distributed offices, employing more than fifty employees. At the end of 2015, the company sold more than 15 million licenses for educational content.
Aggregion is the executor of the joint project of the world producer and distributor of video products with Pearson (one of the largest suppliers of printed and digital educational products). Under the terms of the action, users who purchase books to learn English Pearson, get access to the animated series for six months. Video content is available for download in the free A-Store Reader application. Under the terms of cooperation, Aggregion should to provide convenient and fast access to users' files, and rights holders to the media store, for which the company's specialists decided to lease additional cloud capacities. As an IT partner, Noventiq was selected, with extensive experience in cloud solutions.
After conducting a comparative analysis of various cloud storage and their evaluation, the customer's preference was given to Microsoft Azure Storage. This product is characterized by high availability, speed and fault tolerance. In addition, since the publisher and the world entertainment industry leader planned the development of joint interactive services, in particular video-streaming, Microsoft's product line was preferable: it completely covered the need for the necessary IT tools. And their integration with Azure Storage shortened the time for the development, implementation and launch of projects.
Noventiq specialists provided the customer with a cloud-based hosting based on Microsoft Azure. Initially, local testing of the solution was conducted with the assistance of Aggregion specialists within the limits of the granted number of licenses for video content. The test assessed the stability of the storage, the availability of certain types of content, the ability to download from different devices and with different parameters. After that, the cloud infrastructure was put into operation.
